News and Updates–October 2015

Hello readers!

I finally have some news to share!!  I, along with about six other JAFF writers (that I am aware of) will be doing NaNoWriMo in November! NaNoWriMo is short for National Novel Writing Month, and the idea is to challenge writers to write 50,000 words in one month. I, personally, will be doing this while working full-time. It’s not going to be easy, but I am confident I can complete the challenge and beat my previous record of 27,500 in one month.

Who’s doing this with me? My NaNo writing buddies are Rose Fairbanks, P. O. Dixon, Pamela Lynne, Joy King, Laura Hile, and E. A. Adams. We have buddied up to encourage and support each other, and we have already begun. Bring on the writing!! 🙂

What else is new? Well…the book I am working on for NaNo is called Decisions and Consequences. I don’t want to share too much about it just yet. It’s more fun if it’s a surprise. 🙂

What about my friends? Well, Cat Gardiner is publishing an Austenesque book in November called Villa Fortuna. I have read a couple chapters, and from what I can see, it’s an excellent read!

Leenie Brown has a new Darcy and Lizzy story coming out the first week in November (pretty sure that’s what she told me) called Her Father’s Choice, and it’s the first of a series. I have read this book and I’m telling you, you do NOT want to miss out on this one!

Lots of text and no pictures this time! Sorry about that!! I hope you read all the way through, anyway! 🙂

Until next time….

  1. Best Wishes to you and all of your buddies who are writing. Every year I sign up but never quite finish. I even signed up this year, but will probably end up taking a pass since I’m still trying to finish my long story, Darcy’s Melody. Now if I could finish the end in one month that would be monumental on my end, even though I only have a few chapters to go. Anyway, my best wishes go out to you, Kathy, and your writing buddies. I’ll be waiting to read some FUN tales!
