I’m looking at the date (June 17th as I write this) and shaking my head. The month of June is half over, which means 2018 is almost half over! After the long winter we had, I’m taking every chance I can get to be outside, enjoying the green grass and the flowers … and the heat! As I write this, I’m sitting outside on the back patio of Burton Cottage, with my laptop on the bistro table and my bum in the small, hard, iron chair. It’s hotter than blue blazes outside, but I’m in the shade, my dogs are gamboling (or what passes for it when one is 12 and the other not quite 2) at my feet, and the grass is a bright green. (And not very tall, which is a good thing when you are not only mistress of your home, but also the groundskeeper!) In the distance, I can see yellow flowers in the flower bed. I don’t remember what they are now (I think they might be lilies), but I know that Sharon Lathan had some growing at her front door last year. 😀
Anyway, I’m getting ready to release my third book of the year, a Regency tale titled To Save Elizabeth. I had hoped to have it out this month, and there is a small chance it might happen, but it could also be in early July. We’ll just have to wait and see. LOL
As always, I have posted excerpts on my blog on Thursdays for the last 13 weeks, and have given my Patreon patrons entire chapters plus some outtakes. I know my blog readers are getting impatient to read the entire story, so I am pushing hard to get edits complete and get it published.
You may already know that I have recently expanded into large-print editions of my books. I have two already out for sale: Darcy’s Surprise Betrothal and Decisions and Consequences. To Save Elizabeth will be released with both regular print and large print editions to go along with the ebook. (Link to Large Print added.)
I’m giving away ebook copies of my new book this month, and you will find the details at the bottom of the post, above my logo. Sometimes, I share an excerpt of the book, but this time, I decided to share the blurb with you. I hope it intrigues you and makes you want to read more!
~~~***~~~
She wasn’t supposed to survive, but now that she has, he’d give his life to protect her.
Having been through a harrowing ordeal, Elizabeth Bennet is left in the care of her aunt and uncle and with scars that run deep.
Fitzwilliam Darcy has been moving along with little to rock the boat of his life until one day when a pretty, young woman nearly faints in front of him.
The encounter sparks Darcy’s curiosity and soon has him entangled in a story of intrigue and danger while his heart becomes irrevocably lost to Elizabeth. However, if he wishes to help her heal her scars and claim her as his own, he’s going to have to save her first.
To Save Elizabeth is just one of Zoe Burton’s novel-length Pride and Prejudice variations. If you like brave heroines, strong heroes, and sweet romance mingled with a dash of danger, you’ll love Zoe’s newest take on Jane Austen’s classic tale. Pick up your copy of To Save Elizabeth and lose yourself in a world of peril and sweet happily ever after with Darcy and Lizzy today.
