News and Updates: Saturday, February 22, 2020

Welcome to (or back to) Austen Promises! Below are my news and updates for this week. Enjoy!

We’ve reached the end of February. Yay! <3

I don’t have a lot of writing news again. I’m honestly kind of surprised to reach Friday already … it feels more like Wednesday to me.

I didn’t get as much writing done this week as I would have liked; only about 2000 words. They were words on my Patreon-exclusive story.

I’m working on updating the files for Matches Made at Netherfield. I’ve gotten corrections made and am attempting (for the third time) to format it. I’ve had to paste it into Notepad twice now to strip the formatting and start completely from scratch, because Word has not been playing nice. I think I said last weekend that I only have a couple hours a week to work on this project, so I’m a bit frustrated at this point. LOL

My monthly Austen Authors post is this coming Monday, March 2nd. I did some research into headache treatments in the Regency period. You should see some of the mind-numbingly stupid stuff they tried. LOL Thank heavens for modern medicine is all I have to say!

The Kobo promo I was in last weekend netted me seven sales of Darcy’s Surprise Betrothal. Yay!

I plan to sign up with one of my books (possibly Betrothal but maybe a different one) for one of those newsletter promos. This will mean discounting the book for a period of time. I’ll send out the details when I get it set up. I plan to apply in the next few days, after I get paid.

I really have no personal news this week, except that tomorrow is payday and I’m eagerly awaiting it. Well, tomorrow is supposed to be payday, anyway. Sometimes it takes 5 business days to get to me. I’m praying that’s not the case this month. LOL

Is there anything exciting going on in your world this week, or is your life as boring as mine? LOL Feel free to leave a comment and share with me. I love to hear from my readers! <3
