Welcome to (or back to) Austen Promises!
Below are my news and updates for this week. Enjoy!

I hope you all are doing well! I haven’t heard from some folks who almost always reply; please do let me know how you are. And, I’m always available if you need to vent for a bit. <3
I was worried for a couple days this week that I’d not have anything to share with you. I didn’t need to. LOL I have written 9,204 words this week. That’s a couple thousand less than last week, but I had four days in a row where I couldn’t write and two days that I was only able to get around 1,500 words.

Darcy’s Uneasy Betrothal is on its last chapter. The excitement I feel to finally reach this point can’t be described. <3 This is my Patreon-exclusive story, and patrons can expect the last chapters to be posted in the next few days. Once the story is edited, the e-book formatted and patrons have their copies, I will begin posting on darcyandlizzy and upload to Amazon. I may put it on pre-order so the print version and e-book version can “come out” together. 😀 We’ll see. LOL

For the Kobo readers among us, I have a book in their March 40% off boxed sets promotion. Titled, Darcy and Elizabeth: A Pride & Prejudice Variation 8-Book Box Set, it is regularly priced at $25.99 CAD (which means $24.99 USD). With code MARBOX, purchasers get 40% off that price, which means you get like $10 off, if I did the math right. You get $40 worth of books for around $15. That’s quite a deal. This book is a bundle of my first eight books. Oh, and JAFF author P. O. Dixon has a book in this promotion, as well.

I have changed the price of Georgie’s Redemption to 99¢ in preparation for my Fussy Librarian promo. The email from that site will go out on Monday, March 30th, which is this coming Monday. The price will remain at 99¢ until April 2nd or 3rd. I changed it this afternoon because one never knows how long it will take Amazon to actually make the change. You may actually find it tomorrow or Sunday for that price, or on April 4th or 5th. LOL

My Austen Authors post is this coming Monday (lots going on that day LOL). If you’d like to read a short excerpt of Darcy’s Uneasy Betrothal, you’ll find one there. Feel free to drop by and leave me a comment. Next month, I’ll be giving a couple copies of the book away.

Given that many of my readers are unable to work right now, I wanted to share two ways you can read books for free for the next month or two.
First, Amazon is offering Kindle Unlimited free for two months, with certain conditions. I have not read the terms and conditions page, so I can’t tell you what they are.
Scribd is a service similar to Kindle Unlimited, where you pay a fee and borrow books. My books are on that service and I do now and again get a payout from them. They are offering their service free for 30 days, no credit card required. They offer both e-books and audio books. None of my books are on audio, unfortunately. Someday, I’d like to do that. 🙂
In personal news, Jasper and I are hanging in there. Actually, Jasper loves me being home so much. I, on the other hand, sometimes need a break from him. For several days, I handled the “stay at home” order very well. Then yesterday, I went out to the post office (the yarn I ordered came in), the butcher (they had boneless, skinless chicken breasts!), and the bakery. The longer I was out, the angrier I got about the situation. I had to come home and repent and readjust my attitude. I feel a lot better today.
How are you handling being at home all the time? Have you made purchases of things to keep you occupied, like I did with the yarn? Feel free to hit reply and tell me about it. I love to hear from my readers! <3
