Welcome to (or back to) Austen Promises! Below are my news and updates for this week. Enjoy!

For us in Ohio, the end of staying at home is near. What about where you live?
I have very little writing news this time. LOL As of 4:30 pm Friday, May 15th, I have written 5,616 words this week. Not as many as last week, but I did spend a day doing yard work and a day recovering from it.
This story remains untitled, but is about 25% complete at this point. So far it’s five chapters and around 13,000 words long. More than 11,000 of those words have happened this month. I’ve written nearly three times as much in May as I did in April!
In personal news, I had a baby visit this week! My sister-in-law, Stephanie brought my youngest great (grand?) niece to visit. Little Emery is four months old and so very cute! <3 Jasper was jealous. LOL I should have walked him before they arrived, but I wasn’t sure how long they’d be in getting to my house, so I didn’t. Next time I will and they can just wait for us. LOL
Speaking of Jasper, he got a bath this week. He still doesn’t like them, but he was cooperative. The next day, he started stinking again, so I put the flea treatment on him. LOL
As I said above, I did yard work this week, and I have to say, it’s looking good around here! I had two days I could have worked outside, but the first was still pretty cold, so I waited. Then, because I waited, I had to condense what I was going to do. I have decided to wait to trim bushes until after the rhododendron finishes blooming, but I need to spray ASAP. I spray the plantings for diseases and the buildings for spiders. LOL That last should have been done weeks ago, but you’ll have that.

Do any of you do yard work, or gardening? Even if it’s containers of flowers, it counts, you know. LOL Very relaxing! I love my flowers and yard! <3 Go ahead and leave a comment below and share with me. I love to hear from my readers, too! <3
