Welcome to (or back to) Austen Promises! Below are my news and updates for this week. Enjoy!

So, we had Wing, then Sprinter, then Winter, and now … full-on Summer! Oy!
I got very little writing done. Probably less than 1,000 words. Sigh

It’s clear to me that I cannot write at home. With nothing open for me to sit in to write at (restaurants can open now for sit-down dining, but the bakery is holding off until they see if the virus spikes and the governor shuts them down again; not that it matters, since I can’t use their bathroom if they do allow me to work there), I have decided that, beginning this coming Monday, I’m driving out to the lake and sitting in my truck at the state park and writing.

I have an Austen Authors post this coming Monday (May 25, 2020).
I managed to lose one of my debit cards (I have two … one for my personal account and one for my business account) on Wednesday. I spent two days searching for it, tearing the truck apart, going through the garbage, searching the hostas outside the garage door, etc. I had like four people praying for me to find it. I finally decided Thursday night to call McDonald’s Friday morning, since that’s the last place I used it. Praise God, when I called, they did have it! <3 It’s now safely back in my purse. LOL

I got lots of yardwork done the last two days, most of it yesterday. I mowed, did most of the weed whacking, and set off foggers in the garages to kill the plethora of spiders. Hopefully, tomorrow I can spray the outsides of the house and garages for spiders, spray the basement, and perhaps feed the outside plants and spray disease killer on them. We shall see. LOL

Is there anything new with you? I know many of you are still staying at home and your states/countries are not yet opened. How are you keeping yourself occupied, if you’re not in a working-from-home situation? Feel free to leave a comment and tell me how you are. I love to hear from my readers! <3

Morning Zoe,
Glad you found your card. I have been know to miss place my card also. I don’t know why it is so hard for me to just put it back in its right place, but nooooo. Anyway, I have also been spending time in my yard and Loving it. I put my earbuds on and I listen to my Austen books as I plant and replant. Over the last 6 weeks I have either heard or read over 17 books. I Have to say it is more books then I would have read if this virus didn’t keep me home. God Bless and stay well to all.
Hi Maria!
I never used to have so much trouble with my bank cards, before I moved up here in 2009. I’m not sure what happened. LOL I was SO RELIEVED to find it! <3 I'm going to drag my summer lawn furniture and stuff out this coming week. I'm looking forward to relaxing in the shade in the afternoons! LOL
Have a great week! <3
