Welcome to (or back to) Austen Promises! Below are my news and updates for this week. Enjoy! (This post usually goes out on Saturday morning, early, but life happened this weekend, so it’s going up now, instead. 😉 )

The weather was beautiful here today. <3
In writing news, all my time this week was sucked up by the Amazon Ads Profit Challenge I participated in. I learned a whole lot, and that alone made it worth the time and effort. I love learning new things!

I got no writing done. I did not go to the bakery this week at all, and won’t be going back for a while. Ohio’s governor has mandated masks for all and since I can’t/won’t wear one, I’ll be staying home. I have my new sit/stand desk and am ordering a thick rug with a cushiony thingy for underneath it so I can stand more comfortably. I’m going to buck up and be an adult and figure out how to wrestle my adaptability into submission so I can write at home. <3

My monthly Austen Authors post was this past Monday. In it, I discuss the differences between my new release, A MUCH Later Meeting, canon, and most of the JAFF I write.
I have volunteered to do an extra post this month. I’m not sure what I’ll write about, though it may be a vignette. It will go up on July 31st.

As you have already figured out, I’m sure, A MUCH Later Meeting is live. I’ve made it my new freebie in the first email new subscribers get.
In personal news, I’ve been very busy. The ads challenge took hours and hours out of my week, and I have been left feeling like life is passing me by. I took last Sunday off and plan to do that every Sunday from now on. I’ve been working seven hour days, ten or more hours a day and I need a break. I want to nap on the porch swing and piddle around in the yard. (I also want to take nice long drives once Wickham – my truck – gets fixed.)

How is your summer going? Have you been able to get out in the sun? Do you have a back yard or a deck or balcony? Feel free to leave me a comment and let me know how you’re doing! I love to hear from my readers!
