News and Updates: Saturday, October 24, 2020

Welcome to (or back to) Austen Promises! Below are my news and updates for this week. Enjoy!

In writing news, I’m happy as a clam to be able to tell you that I wrote two days in a row this week! Wednesday’s word count was in the double digits (just 24 words), but Thursday’s was 616! And, they came really easy!! Heartfelt happy sigh

I have fallen off the wagon today, Friday, though. I got on my phone when I got in bed last night and got on Facebook, then got on the site again this morning. I am determined to climb back up again tonight by staying off my phone. I plan to look into something that will block FB from my phone and tablet browsers.

My next Austen Authors post is in just under three weeks, on November 9th. I’m not sure what the topic will be as of yet. 🙂

My big, eight-book bundle, titled Darcy and Elizabeth: A Compilation, will be coming out of Kindle Unlimited and unpublished from Amazon on December 18th or 19th. At that time, it will go back up on Kobo, and possibly other vendor sites. It will remain unpublished from Amazon forever, though. Be sure to borrow or purchase it before that time if you wish to read it.

I am currently putting together a bundle of Christmas books. I’ve given this bundle the title, Christmas in Meryton, and it will be live (hopefully) in the next week as an e-book. I’m probably going to have to have the print version farmed out, because I’m having issues with Word. LOL

I got an email from someone the other day, asking about Race Book 4. I tried to reply, but Gmail would not send it. In case that person is reading this, I do plan to finish that book, but I don’t have a timeline. Ideally, I’d like to complete it over the winter and publish Daytona 500 weekend. I know better than to make promises, though. I’m still trying to get back into my writing routine and my life is too unstable at the moment to say for sure I will or won’t have it done by then.

In personal news, I got out and about with my sister on Wednesday, and it was wonderful! We don’t do that often enough, that hanging around together stuff. We had breakfast at the Andover Diner, visited the Amish store a couple miles outside of town, got my driver’s license renewed, and then visited a couple antique stores. I found a cute little telephone table for not very much, to use in my living room for the TV and DVD player that are on the couch end of the room. I got the table home and it’s three inches too short, if placed facing forward, the way it’s supposed to, but I might be able to make it work if I turn the table a bit. I’ll update you when I figure it out. It needs cleaned before I do anything. LOL
