Welcome to (or back to) Austen Promises! Below are my news and updates for this week. Enjoy!
We’re a week into the new year already. I hope it’s going well for you!
In writing news, I have begun working on Darcy’s Unwanted Bride. This is one of the stories I dropped last spring and summer. I haven’t had a day to write all week, but I have been rereading what I wrote before and reviewing the plot notebook, so I’ll be ready to write when I get a day (hopefully today, Saturday).
This year, I will be promoting one book or book bundle each month. The price will drop on most, if not all, during the month they are promoted. After that, they will go back up to pre-pandemic pricing. Don’t worry that I’ll raise all the prices at once. I have twenty-six or twenty-seven single titles alone. At one per month, it’s going to take me a couple years to get through them all.
The first book I plan to promote is Mr. Darcy, My Hero! The price is going to drop to $2.99 for the rest of January, and will appear in two or three promotions. The book’s price will be dropped for the entire month. The first promo day will be a spot in the Full Hearts Romance newsletter on January 11th. The rest of the spots are as follows:
- Boxed Romance Bargains on January 15th.
- Fussy Librarian on January 21st.
- Sweet Romance Book Bargains on January 28th.
I’m trying out a new scheduling method this year. If you read the Wednesday blog post from this past week, you’ll learn all about it, but basically it involves binge writing on the days I have no errands (and making sure I have errand-free days each week!) I’ll let you know how it goes. 🙂
In personal news, I sort of dropped my mostly-protein diet somewhere around Thanksgiving and began eating more and more goodies and carb-heavy foods. By New Year’s Day, I was in severe pain and very, very tired even after a full night of sleep. Needless to say, I am back on my diet and the goodies remain frozen, to be enjoyed a small bit at a time once I get back on track. After just a couple days, I feel a whole lot better; I hope to be back to myself by the time this newsletter goes out.
How’s 2021 shaping up for you? Are you hopeful for a better year? Feel free to hit leave a comment below and let me know. I love to hear from my readers!
