Welcome to (or back to) Austen Promises! Below are my news and updates for this week. Enjoy!

Apparently, we had an ice storm the other night. I know it must be true, because the next day the temp went above 35⁰ F and ice began sliding off my metal roof.
In writing news, since last Friday, I have written about 2,000 words. The magical 10,000-word weekend I wanted ended up being a 2,000-word weekend, which is fine but a disappointment. It’s my own fault, though … I told people that I was going to write 10,000 words over the weekend and I ought to know better than that by now.
I left the story totally alone for a couple days, and on Wednesday, I talked through some ideas with a couple friends. I now have a very good sense of where I’m going, and some details ironed out. I have a few days before I can write again to let those ideas percolate.

My Austen Authors post is this coming Monday, February 1, 2021. The post contains an excerpt of Darcy’s Unwanted Bride.

If you wanted to purchase Mr. Darcy, My Hero for the low price of $2.99, you need to do it before Tuesday. I’ll be jacking the price up to what it was before the pandemic began last year ($7.99).

February’s sale book is Forced to Wed, which will be getting a new cover. Actually, I have the new cover made; I just have to upload it, which I’ll probably do at the same time as I lower the price.
There’s nothing much that’s new to report on my personal life. My friend Angela is coming for a visit this weekend, so I’ve been cleaning like crazy. Of course, the day before her visit, we get a surprise snow storm. LOL
