JAFF Blogs–Cat Gardiner

This month’s featured blog is that of my good friend, Cat Gardiner. Cat, you may remember, is the author of my book boyfriend’s world, Denial of Conscience. Cat is not strictly a Jane Austen Fan Fiction author and blogger. She is Austenesque, and some of her books are JAFF, but not all. She writes modern things….Lucky 13 last year, DoC this past spring (both JAFF) and Villa Fortuna, which is coming out this month sometime, and is Austenesque.

When she wrote Lucky 13, Cat set aside part of her blog space for Lizzy to blog about her dating adventures, and it was a hoot! πŸ™‚

In addition to being a fabulous person and wonderful writer, Cat is a member of Romance Writers of America and was recently inducted into the National League of American Pen Women.

Anyway, there’s a lot going on over there…you should think about checking it out! And, if you like what you see, be sure to let her know. She’d love to hear from you!

JAFF Blogs–Austen Variations

This month’s featured blog is Austen Variations. This blog features several excellent authors, like Jack Caldwell and Maria Grace. Some of the authors don’t write actual Jane Austen Fan Fiction but are rather “Austenesque”, which means they are Austen-inspired.

What do I like about it? For starters, one can read Maria Grace’s works in progress there. πŸ™‚ There are all manner of other posts, too, that are relevant to Jane Austen and JAFF.

Enjoy your visit! And while you are there, drop them a line and let them know what you liked about it!

Until next time…

JAFF Blogs–Austen Authors

This month’s featured blog is Austen Authors. Run by authors Sharon Lathan and Regina Jeffers, it features Jane Asuten-related blog posts of all kinds. There is so much to learn there, about how birthdays were celebrated, and the fashions of the time, and all manner of things. There are regular giveaways, and an Emporium where you can buy Jane Austen and JAFF-related items. Every one of the twenty authors that make up Austen Authors has their own section of the Emporium, and each contributes regular monthly blog posts. This is their site, and they can also be found on Facebook, here.

What do I like about it? Well…everything! Their authors are wonderful, they contribute fabulous information and prizes, and many are my friends. In fact, two of my closest author friends, Leenie Brown and Rose Fairbanks, are Austen Authors. Someday, when I grow up…. πŸ™‚

Enjoy your visit! And while you are there, drop them a line and let them know what you liked about it!

Until next time…

JAFF Blogs–JAFF Recs

This month’s featured blog is one that archives Jane Austen Fan Fiction. She features five stories every month, and visitors get to vote on the top five stories for the month. The site is call JAFF Recs. It has lists by author and by story, and a page for recommendations. Stories can be searched by word count, point of view,Β  pairings, and more. Really, the site is too full of options to list them all here. You really need to check it out for yourself!

Leenie Brown, Author/Blogger

One of my very good friends and fellow authors, is Leenie Brown. I have featured her books in the recent past (very recent, as her first published book came out a couple months ago); she wrote Oxford Cottage and For Peace of Mind. Something else that I admire about Leenie is her devotion to her blog.

Almost every day that she does not write, Leenie is working on her blog. She is one of the people who inspired me to begin doing Wordless Wednesdays. She takes that concept one step further, though. She has added Three Hundred Thursday to her blog lineup. She used the picture from Wednesday to write a story of at least three hundred words to post on Thursday. Often it’s more than three hundred, and for about a month, it’s been one continuous story that I have been eagerly devouring. πŸ™‚

In the past, Leenie has done book reports, though she has not done any in a while. I think her own writing career has gotten in the way of that. Still, she posts her current work in progress, as well as short stories and a few other things. Her blog is titled Leenie Brown: Following the path of my imagination and writing about the characters I meet along the way.

I hope you will stop by and see what she has to say. I think you will be pleased with what you find!

Until later!

Rose Fairbanks, Author/Blogger

Have you heard that my friend, Rose Fairbanks, has recently published another book? It’s called Undone Business, and it’s available on Kindle and Nook. You can also get it in print, if you prefer. It’s a great book from a very talented author. In addition to Undone Business, she has another book coming out on May 25…No Cause to Repine. Both are fabulous reads! You won’t regret buying them!!
Another fact you may or may not know is that Rose has a blog called Stories from the Past. She is part of a group called Austen Authors, and is far better about blogging than I. πŸ˜‰ I think you will enjoy her posts. πŸ™‚
Below are images and links to her books.
