News and Updates: Author Alley, Shaker Heights, Ohio, 7/1/17

Hello readers!

I wanted to share some news with you! I, along with a bunch of other North East Ohio authors, will be attending Author Alley, held during the Larchmere Festival in Shaker Heights, Ohio on July 1st. I would love to see some of you there, if you live close enough to make the drive.

Loganberry Books is an independent bookstore, the outside of which is purple! It’s small but mighty, and I am incredibly excited about this opportunity. There will be copies of Matches Made at Netherfield available for purchase, and I will sign any of my books that you bring to me.

My new mailing list

Hi everyone!

I have recently discovered that there is a new JAFF author who shares my first name. The person who shared with this me thought that I had a new release, and it was not until she was most of the way through the book that she realized it was not written in my style and checked the author name.

This event made me realize that I need a way to let my readers know when I’m releasing a new book. To that end, I have created a mailing list. You can click this link to sign up.

Also, I will be adding cover images of all my books that are not already here. All of my new books, with the possible exception of series books–and I have no series planned at this point–will be white with my name in purple script and a heart in the center.

Anyway, I’m going to try to make it as easy as possible for my readers to find me. Thanks for being one!

Awesome news!

Hello, readers!

Do you remember about three months ago, when I told you that I needed to take some time off from blogging and that I would get back in the swing when the busiest time of the school year was over? Well, that time has arrived, sort of.

I still have the big state tests to proctor in the next few weeks, but I have a huge announcement that will mean that in three weeks and a couple days, I will be blogging more regularly.

I am proud and excited to share with you that I have been asked to be the newest member of Austen Authors!! Me!! Little ol’ Zoe Burton!! I have been over the moon for days about it, but have been unable to share publicly until today, after the official announcement was made. Of course, you may have already caught sight of the badge on my landing page. I put that up without even thinking that I ought to wait a few days. LOL

What does this mean for my blog? Well, there will be a post here every 4 weeks, as I will share my post for Austen Authors with you here. That’s the biggest difference. Come late May or early June, I’m going to revamp things and begin my two or three day a week posts again. I have been looking at the blogs and sites of friends, and have gotten some good ideas to use here.

If you like, you can feel free to click on the links for this fabulous collection of authors in the paragraphs above, or click on the badge to the left. There are many other authors in the group, and you can check out the author page of each one for social media links and purchase links for books.

That’s all for now. Are you as excited as I am? 🙂

Updates from Zoe

Hello dear readers!

You have probably noticed that I have not had regular posts this last month. Work just got in the way and I could not keep up. I feel awful about it! 🙁

I had hoped to resume regular posts this week, but it has not been possible. And to be honest, I think I need to revamp what I am doing with them. So, I’m going to take a couple months to figure out what I want to do and to make a plan for improving the site. I will still post updates as far as what I am publishing.

Thanks so much for your patience with me!

News and Updates–October 2015

Hello readers!

I finally have some news to share!!  I, along with about six other JAFF writers (that I am aware of) will be doing NaNoWriMo in November! NaNoWriMo is short for National Novel Writing Month, and the idea is to challenge writers to write 50,000 words in one month. I, personally, will be doing this while working full-time. It’s not going to be easy, but I am confident I can complete the challenge and beat my previous record of 27,500 in one month.

Who’s doing this with me? My NaNo writing buddies are Rose Fairbanks, P. O. Dixon, Pamela Lynne, Joy King, Laura Hile, and E. A. Adams. We have buddied up to encourage and support each other, and we have already begun. Bring on the writing!! 🙂

What else is new? Well…the book I am working on for NaNo is called Decisions and Consequences. I don’t want to share too much about it just yet. It’s more fun if it’s a surprise. 🙂

What about my friends? Well, Cat Gardiner is publishing an Austenesque book in November called Villa Fortuna. I have read a couple chapters, and from what I can see, it’s an excellent read!

Leenie Brown has a new Darcy and Lizzy story coming out the first week in November (pretty sure that’s what she told me) called Her Father’s Choice, and it’s the first of a series. I have read this book and I’m telling you, you do NOT want to miss out on this one!

Lots of text and no pictures this time! Sorry about that!! I hope you read all the way through, anyway! 🙂

Until next time….

News and Updates for September

You might be wondering why I am sharing September news in October. Well, that would be because I didn’t have news until the last couple days of the month….so I thought I should just wait until today to share.

I have published another book! I was challenged to write and publish a short story in the month of September. It had to be between 8,000 and 20,000 words. Mr. Darcy’s Love is the result. It is available on Amazon, Nook, Kobo, and hopefully by the beginning of this next week, the Createspace Store.

Mr. Darcy's Love ebook cover

There’s a bit of news you might enjoy hearing!! I have begun adding all my books to Nook and Kobo! At present, only I Promise To…, Bits of Ribbon and Lace, and Mr. Darcy’s Love are available at those two retailers. I hope to add another book every couple weeks.

And what of my friends? Well…

Leenie Brown just recently published Through Every Storm: A Pride & Prejudice Novella, and wonderful tale featuring Wickham and Lydia. I’m not generally fond of reading about minor characters, but Leenie has a way with them that draws a reader in. She really puts you in the Wickhams’ shoes! You will not regret reading this book, I promise you! This book is available on Amazon and Kobo, and at the Createspace Store.

TES for blog

Rose Fairbanks just published a book of short stories, called Love Lasts Longest. As usual, Rose has created a story (well, several stories) that you just can’t put down! This one is available at Amazon and is part of the Kindle Unlimited program.

LLL for blog

Pamela Lynne, just days ago, published Sketching Characters, a book I had the privilege of cold reading. It is another fabulous tale! I don’t want to give it away, but you will feel terrible for Lydia, cheer Darcy on, and a Colonel Fitzwilliam you will hate. It is available at Amazon, on Nook, Kobo, and in paperback.

Well, that ought to fill up your TBR pile for a week or so! Have a great month!
